| National Graphics was honored to provide the 3D/Morph lenticular cover for the October, 2006 issue of Graphic Arts Monthly (GAM) magazine. The magazine described the cover as “The ultimate in visual impact and printable eye-foolery...”
The artwork was provided by Curt Spannraft, a computer illustrator at Reed Business Information (GAM’s parent). National’s team of experts guided Spannraft as he prepared the illustration to be used for a lenticular medium. Then, using their premier Extreme Vision® technology, National transformed the artwork into a printed piece that allows you to view spectacular effects of animation and depth.
Bill Esler, Editor in Chief of GAM had this to say, “The buzz generated by our special Graph Expo cover project, produced by National Graphics using their Extreme Vision process, was unprecedented for Graphic Arts Monthly. Copies of the issue flew off the shelves when they were presented at the giant Graph Expo 2006 trade show in Chicagohelping us stand out, and get attention, in a very crowded venue. And the execution of the project was an extraordinary success because of the careful guidance provided by the experts at National Graphics. They were able to take our raw design concepts and help us translate them into an expressive example of the best of lenticular. Yet they were sensitive during the creative process to our goals and visual intentions. Lenticular is a unique format, with many possibilities. National Graphics assisted Graphic Arts Monthly in making the best choices as they escorted us through the process, but kept us on track and on time.”
