“The ability to automatically create custom lenticular images online has never been offered before,” explains Donald Krause, president of National Graphics. “Traditionally, if a customer wanted to order customized lenticular, they would either have to purchase software or contact a lenticular company and pay extra for design work, called ‘mastering’. This step has now been eliminated – and so has its cost.”

Clients can upload their own pictures to the site, www.extremevisionproducts.com, and choose an effect (ie 3D, Flip or Zoom) to apply. The website automatically generates a lenticular image which can be previewed on-screen and then ordered as printed business cards (3.5”x 2”).

“We plan to expand this online capability beyond the business card size and then to other products,” says Krause.

In July, National Graphics launched its new web-store, www.extremevisionproducts.com. The website gives users the ability to design their own 3D/Motion lenticular business cards and postcards online. The cards are two-sided, lenticular on one side and traditional printing on the other.

Customers who visit the site will now have the opportunity to pick an image from the ever-expanding library of images or, NEW!, choose to use their own images, which are easily uploaded to the site. The images in the library are 3D or contain special effects such as motion, zoom, flip, or a combination of effects. If a customer chooses to upload their own images, they will be given the option to flip between two of their images, have their image zoom in or have their image become the background for a 3D effect with their company logo.

Whether the customer chooses to use their own image or a library image, they will be given an opportunity (in most cases) to place their logo over the top of the image. They can then choose to have the logo appear to float in front of the background image, or to have the logo zoom towards them.

The other side of the card is non-lenticular and will be printed in four-color process inks. The website allows the user to place their logo on this side of the card, as well.

National Graphics’ goal was to make the ordering process easy to follow. Payment is made via credit card and product will be shipped directly to the user within approximately three weeks.

These cards establish a strong first-impression. They capture and hold attention 5 to 10 times longer than conventional print cards. The clients of this website will find that their contacts will share these unique cards with friends and co-workers, increasing their exposure to the marketplace.
