How Lenticular Technology Works

Interlacing

Multiple frame (image) files are interlaced (interweaved) into a single lenticular image.

National Graphics developed highly-specialized interlacing software capable of generating more sophisticated imagery. The interlaced image is finely-tuned to the specific characteristics of the lenticular lens, as well as the desired viewing distance. Extreme Vision patented lenticular technologies delivers the best image quality and fidelity for lithographic lenticular printing.

Lenticular Lens

A lenticular lens is comprised of extruded clear plastic lenticules (“ribs”). Each lenticule works as a magnifying glass, revealing only portions of an interlaced image at a time. The frames of the interlaced image change as the viewer changes viewing angle of the lens.

National Graphics pioneered the method of printing directly on the reverse side of the lens material, providing accurate registration of the printed image to the lens material and making it possible to deliver images with significantly greater detail and clarity.

Lenticular Imagery

Viewing the interlaced image through the lenticular lens causes the eye to “see” Three-Dimension, Motion, Morph, Flip, Zoom, or a combination of Extreme Vision effects... The result is simply “Marketing Magic!”

Buyer Beware!

Be aware of lenticular printers that compare themselves to National Graphics and that have product names that bear likeness to the Extreme Vision name. Make no mistake... There is only one Extreme Vision, and National Graphics is your proven source to get it! Our patented imaging methods and customer-driven services are unmatched.
